Online birth certificates for newborns to be issued by Abu Dhabi

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the emirate’s healthcare regulator, has announced that birth certificates for newborns can now be issued digitally through the “TAMM” platform, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts and in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Government Services platform, “TAMM.”

The new system will take effect on December 30, 2021, and will apply to all infants in the emirate. Read this article to know more about how to go about starting this online application process.

Procedure for a birth certificate online in Abu Dhabi

Newborns’ parents will receive a communication from the healthcare facility following the birth of their child. However they will not be told of the registration and login procedures until later.

They will then be directed to submit the necessary documents and pay the necessary costs to acquire the certificate.

The new online service is also available to anybody who need supplementary certificates for past birth dates granted by any of the emirate’s hospitals.

Concluding on digital birth certificates in Abu Dhabi

Birth certificates were previously issued at specific offices placed throughout Abu Dhabi’s healthcare facilities.

To process all of the requisite documents, it also required the presence of parents or legal guardians. However the new process of digital birth certificates is about to change that.
